Angela Matuschka is a German artist. Following her studies of fine arts and art therapy in Germany, she ran her own painting school for children and taught art education for youths and adults.
Some years ago she studied with the artist Bet Borgeson, a pioneer in working with colored pencils and since then she has loved to work in this way. She works continually to refine her techniques through inspiring international art classes. For some time she has been running her own classes on working with colored pencils.

Some of her pieces have won prizes, including an 'Award for Excellence' from the Colored Pencil Society of America. Her work is published in diverse magazines, e.g. several times in Ann Kullberg's Color Magazine. Some paintings are also published in fine art books, e.g. in "CP Treasures, Colored Pencil Masterworks from Around the Globe, Volume 3, Volume 4 and Volume 6“, "Incite 4, The Best of Mixed Media" and in 'Botanical Mandalas' by Louise Gale and „Strokes of Genius 10, The Best of Drawing“. Several pieces are part of national and international private collections. Two written tutorials are now available: Dormouse (2019) and Owl (2020), see publications.
Imagination, beauty and harmony are important themes for her art. Colors are her favorite means of expression.

All artworks are created with the finest colored pencils on high quality paper.
